The main reason I liked this book (I have found myself going back to certain parts since finishing it) is the characters seemed plausible in the real world. The main characters (Barrett and Jillian) seemed as if they could be real people. There are people in this world who have been effected in the ways they were respectively. The sex scenes were the say the least, interesting. Barrett bordered on force in my opinion but he turned out to be a cool guy.I liked the way the author opened the story with Barrett's childhood and I think this was done to help the reader understand him because if not most women would think he was a jerk. He is a very strong personality but he and Jill fit well. Even in fiction there is someone for everyone and so goes real life!
My only issue is that if this man existed in real life I don't think the ending would have been the same; men like this usually are so screwed up that he would not have realized what he had done until it was too late for both of them.
But all in all this was a good read. I enjoyed it. I may consider getting another of her novels.

A deliciously ride! This was a complete story with characters that actually had depth and layers. The erotic scenes were scorching, the plot was complex as Jillian learned to embrace her sensual side and Barrett faced his demons from childhood. The characters just leap off the page and into your heart to leave you breathless. Even has a ménage scene that will make you sweat. A truly amazing book!
Take one very sexy hot, dominating alpha male and a somewhat self-conscious, sexually inhibited, career minded female and what do you get? Under Robin L. Rotham's pen you get great characters, a story with feeling, a little suspense and a whole lot of totally combustible sex thats well balanced within the story. She writes some of the hottest scenes I've read to date and I've read a lot of erotica. I hope we see more books from her like this!
This is my 1st read by this author and she delivered a very steamy novel which I enjoyed very much.All I can say is whenever I pass the thermometer on the wall ....WOW......I will think of certain scenes in the book where the H tells the h that he likes it cold because he gets really hot during sex.This is one H who is all about the sex, he really gets down and dirty.So if you love the super Alpha male who is all take charge and a h who gives as good as she gets ,this is the one for you....and did I say this was a super hot read .
Trusted the reviews of the majority and it payed off. Really great writing, simple plot but so well written it was interesting the whole way through. Thoroughly engaging characters. What more could you ask for...oh yeah....really great, phenomenal sex scenes.
Keeps you coming back for more and more. A book you would not be able to put down. Great book.

I absolutely loved this book and today decided I would add a few words in the review. These two folks are perfect for each other, being that both have issues and neither have any expectations. I am, re-reading it today....just perfect timing for a HEA story on a rainy night in Georgia. Certainly I recommend this book....
